The patient is a 33 year-old woman, 5’3”, 145 lbs., four children who was a 36 A/B and desired to be a 36 C. She is shown ten weeks after augmentation with 335 cc Ideal saline implants filled to 370.

She chose Ideal structured saline implants in order to avoid the need for MRI follow up that is required with gel implants. She liked the fact that these structured, multi-shelled saline-filled implants feel almost like gel, particularly when under adequate soft-tissue cover which she had. If a deflation occurs, it is noted by looking in the mirror, while ruptures of gel implants are silent in most cases and require imaging studies to detect.
